How do I sign up for Viewpoint Forum?
We are no longer accepting registrations without a referral.
You must be referred by an existing member or receive a special invitation from
Viewpoint Forum or one of our affiliates.
I don't have a Referral ID. Can I still sign up?
The Referral ID is a part of our Refer A Friend program.
You only need to fill in this blank if you were referred by
email and the link was not functioning.
(See the Referral section for more information.)
Do I have to fill out all of the information requested on the Registration Page?
No, but we do recommend that you fill in all the information. The email address
is required so that we can contact you when surveys are ready. A valid mailing
address is required so that we can send you a check when you request payment.
(See Payment for more information.) A phone number is optional.
I am not a United States resident. Can I still participate?
Unfortunately, we are unable to allow residents of other countries to participate at
this time. We hope to change this requirement in the future, but for the time being
we ask that only US residents register.
Do I have to complete the Personal Profile Survey?
In order to become an active member of Viewpoint Forum, you must complete
the Personal Profile. We use this information to determine which surveys
you might have an interest in. We never share any identifying information.
I am uncomfortable with some of the questions in the Personal Profile.
Do I have to answer them?
Most of the questions in the Personal Profile have an "other" or "don't
know/refused" option. The survey is designed so that every question needs
to have some sort of answer to proceed to the next page. If you have any
questions regarding a specific question please contact Julie Owens at
julie@viewpointforum.com.
Keep in mind that we use this information to match
you with surveys, so be as honest as possible. We never share your identifying
information with anyone outside our organization without your express consent.
Can more than one person in the household join the panel?
Only one member per household is able to sign up as a panelist. However,
there may be opportunities for other household members to complete surveys.
In that case, the email invitation you receive will ask for a different
household member to complete the survey.
How often can I expect to receive a survey?
On average, you should expect to receive an email from us once or twice per
month. However, this can vary due to the specific demographic needs of our clients.
Keep in mind, we only offer you surveys that you may have an interest in.
What do you do with all my personal information?
The information you provide is used collectively with responses from all other
survey participants to produce general survey results. These results allow our
clients to further understand their consumers' needs. For example, survey results
might indicate that consumers who fall within certain age groups are more likely
to be interested in their idea. This provides the client with valuable information
concerning their target market, without compromising your security and confidentiality.
All your information is
strictly confidential.
If you have any specific questions regarding your privacy and the security of our website,
please email
Julie Owens at julie@viewpointforum.com.
Will you ever sell my information?
No. Your confidentiality and privacy are strictly maintained. We will never sell your
information to third parties. We are very sensitive to the need for strict guidelines
when it comes to personal information.
See our Privacy Statement.
How do I update my contact information (address / phone number / email)?
Once you have
logged in and are at the
Member Page,
click the "Edit My Contact Info" link. You should then see a form with your current
contact information. Make changes as needed and click the "Update" button when
you're finished.
How do I update my profile information?
Once you have logged
in and are at the Member Page, click the "Edit My Profile" link.
You should then be in the profile section where you can change your responses as
needed.
How do I change my username & password?
Once you have logged
in and are at the Member Page, click the "Edit My Username
& Password " link. You should then see a form where you can change your username
and/or password.
What if I can't remember my username or password?
You can request that your username and password be sent to the email address
you supplied at the time of registration. There is a link at
www.viewpointforum.com
in the log in box that allows you to make this request. You can also send
an email to
julie@viewpointforum.com.
Do I receive points for participating in the Weekly Poll?
No. The Weekly Poll is not intended for research purposes. It is designed as
a casual poll so forum members can see what visitors to the site think
about different issues.
Can I refer a friend to participate in Viewpoint Forum?
Yes, we have a Refer-A-Friend program. You can make referrals by
logging in with your username and password. On your personal Member Page, click the "Refer
A Friend" button. We will give you 100 points each for the first 5 referrals who register and complete
their first survey.
Keep in mind that we allow only one member per household.
Can I refer more than 5 people?
Yes, but you can only earn points for the first 5 who sign up and complete the profile survey.
Can I put a link to Viewpoint Forum on my website?
You can provide a link to Viewpoint Forum if you like. However, we do not have
an affiliate program and have no plans to offer one in the future.
Any referrals must be made through our Refer A Friend program and are subject
to the rules of that program.
Are Referral Points different than Forum Points?
The only difference is in how they are acquired. They are equal in value and
count toward your points total.
I referred several people and have not received any Referral Points. Why?
The most common reason is your referrals have not yet registered or completed the
Personal Profile. If you believe your referrals have completed both, you can report
the problem to
julie@viewpointforum.com.
The links are not working! What do I do?
Go to our registration form
and use the referral code from the invitation email where it asks for a
"Referral Code."
How will I know when a survey is available?
You will receive a notification email from
julie@viewpointforum.com
whenever there is a survey available for you. It is important to remember
that contacts will be coming from the above address as they can be
inadvertently filtered to a bulk mail folder.
How long do I have to complete a survey once I receive the email invitation?
Deadlines for surveys can vary. We will usually communicate a survey's deadline
in the invitation. If you have any questions about a deadline, please contact
julie@viewpointforum.com.
What if I can't access the survey from the link in the email?
You can always access surveys by going to
www.viewpointforum.com
and logging in with your username and password. Click on the survey's
title in the Current Surveys column.
What if I receive an error message while taking the survey?
The first thing you should try is clicking the refresh/resend button on your internet
browser. If that doesn't work, go to
www.viewpointforum.com
and log in with your username and password. You should be able to enter the survey at,
or near, the spot where you logged out by clicking on the survey's title in the
Current Surveys column. Sometimes, during heavy web traffic, you may not be able to
connect to our site. The best way to handle this is to try again later.
What if I am kicked off the internet, or need to quit, in the middle of a survey?
Our surveys are designed to allow you to quit and reenter at a later time without
having to start over. Whenever you are ready to complete the survey, log back in.
You should be at, or near, the spot you left off.
How do I Cash Out my Forum Points?
Once you have reached 375 points, a Cash Out button will appear on the left side of
your Member Page. Simply click the button and follow the directions.
How long does it take for me to receive a check once I have Cashed Out?
It can take between 10-14 working days for you to receive a check.
Can I continue to take surveys once I have Cashed Out?
Yes. Your point total is reset, but aside from that, your membership
remains active and eligible.
